Round table "Space technologies in the service of mankind".

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM - In the building of the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, a round table "Space technologies in the service of mankind" was held, Kazinform correspondent reports.

Participation was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "RCSC" Sh. Svoguzov and Director of the Department of Strategic Projects A. Kadyr.

The event, which took place in online and offline formats, was organized as part of a public program on the platform of the international exhibition "Earth, bow to man!", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first human flight into space. Domestic scientists, experts in the field of space research and biotechnology, partners of the "Earth, bow to man!" Exhibition took part in the round table. Among them are the Head of the Representative Office of “Rossotrudnichestvo” in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan Aleksey Koropchenko, Chairman of the Board of JSC “National Center for space research and technologies”, “Academician of the International Academy of Informatization and Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan” Marat Nurguzhin, General Director of RSE “National center for biotechnology”, Professor of “Nazarbayev University”, Corresponding Member of the “National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan” Yerlan Ramankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the “Republican center of space communication” JSC Shokan Svoguzov, Deputy Director of the “Subsidiary Society of Astrophysical Institute named after V.G. Fesenkov” Rashit Valiullin, students of Kazakhstani universities.

The discussion was moderated by the director of the “Elbasy Library” Bakytzhan Temirbolat. “The first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev always speaks about the importance of the space industry for the development of science and technology, calling the Baikonur cosmodrome our advantage in the world economic competition,” he said.

Only 60 years have passed since the first man flew into space from the land of Kazakhstan. Undoubtedly, humanity will reach other worlds, but first we need to equip our Earth, our home. This is why we are holding such events,” said Alexey Koropchenko, head of the “Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office” in Kazakhstan.

Marat Nurguzhin, Chairman of the Board of JSC “National center for space research and technologies”, spoke about the state and prospects of domestic space science. “For Kazakhstan in the coming years, it is necessary to create information resources and services of international level in order to win a worthy share of the world market of modern space services,” he said.

Yerlan Ramankulov, Director General of the “National center for biotechnology” RSE, spoke about modern technologies in the service of the space industry, focusing on the topic of implementing expeditions to Mars. “The main unsolved problem is the supply of space expeditions with fuel, water and food. American scientists believe that synthetic biology can be a solution to the problem,” he said.

The participants and listeners of the meeting learned a lot of interesting things about modern technologies of space monitoring of agriculture, emergencies, the environment; achievements and prospects of the “Institute of space engineering and technologies”, scientific programs of experiments of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the ISS, the realities and prospects of space communications in Kazakhstan. Also, the participants of the round table had the opportunity to visit the "Dome" hall of the Library, where the materials of the third section of the exhibition "Earth. Time for the first! " with a chronicle of the first human steps in outer space, a breakthrough in space science and the exploits of Kazakhstani cosmonauts.

The students thanked the organizers of this interesting meeting with people about whom the Head of State K.K. Tokayev said: "Space exploration would have been impossible without the titanic work of scientists, designers, testers and engineers, their professionalism and dedication to this day contribute to the development of modern astronautics."
