Defender of the Fatherland Day in Akkol began with the laying of flowers at the monument to General Nurmagambetov

AKKOL. AKMOLA REGION. PRESS SERVICE Every year on Defender of the Fatherland Day, the staff of the Republican Center of Space Communication JSC (RCSC) holds an action in memory of the first Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, General of the Army Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

A memorial bust to the general was erected in his native village of Akkol in 2016. Since that time, this day of remembrance and gratitude to the war veteran has become traditional for the RCSC, whose main ground control complex for Kazsat satellites is located in Akkol.

This year, representatives of two more enterprises of Kazkosmos - JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” and LLP “JV “Ghalam” came to Akkol in order to take part in a commemorative action, as well as in sports and mass events organized by the staff of the RCSC.

Baubek Oralmagambetov, Chairman of the Aerospace Committee of the MDDIAI RK, Aidyn Aimbetov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary”, Malik Zhuiriktayev, Chairman of the JSC “RCSC”, reserve officers, engineers of the Akkol SCC laid flowers at the monument to General Nurmagambetov.

Football sports were held on an open field near the residential building of the Akkol Space Communication Center, and a table tennis tournament was held in the gym of school No. 1 in Akkol.

More than 60 people took part in the competition, and friendly tennis matches with a team of veterans of Kazkosmos were held by Akim of the Akkol region Anatoly Krivitsky and ex-akim of the region, now a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askarbek Uisimbaev.
