ASTANA - On April 16, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Mussin met with Rebecca Hunter, Director for Global Licensing and Market Activation of SpaceX.

According to the press service of the MDDIAI, the issues of expanding Starlink technology in Kazakhstan, providing rural schools with broadband Internet and developing digital projects were discussed at the meeting.

Representatives of SpaceX visited one of the schools connected to Starlink in Shubar village.

«I was glad to have this meeting and to discuss the implementation of the project with SpaceX», the Minister said.

To date, 447 rural schools have been provided with the Internet using Starlink technology, and after the installation of terminals, the average Internet speed in schools reaches 200 Mbps.
