Kazakhstan and Turkey signed memorandum on the development of the aerospace industry

ASTANA. PRESS RELEASE OF DDIAI RK - Within the framework of the state visit of the President of Turkey to Kazakhstan, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (DDIAI RK) Bagdat Musin and the Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency Ismail Demir signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of aerospace industry between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey.
“The memorandum will allow establishing long-term cooperation in the field of creating space systems for satellite communications and television broadcasting, remote sensing of the Earth, technological and scientific purposes,” Bagdat Musin said in his Telegram channel.
The Minister told the guest about the development of the space industry in Kazakhstan and demonstrated achievements in the field of space monitoring and earth remote sensing during a visit to the Special Design Technology Bureau and Test Laboratory for Small Spacecrafts of Ghalam LLP.
During the meeting, there were the discussion about possibilities of cooperation in such areas as the exchange of earth remote sensing data, cooperation of industrial enterprises in the development of satellites, and the creation of satellite launch systems.
The parties agreed to establish close contacts at both levels: government agencies and individual companies. Discussion was about joint plans for the creation and use of satellite constellations of our countries. The possibilities of creating a joint constellation of satellites of the Turkic countries were also discussed.
The meeting, which took place on the territory of the National Space Center, was attended by the heads of the Aerospace Committee of the DDIAI RK, enterprises of Kazkosmos. From JSC "RCSC" - Chairman of the Board Malik Zhuiriktayev.
